Final Edit- The Titling

Planning

  • Here is an initial idea of what we wanted our title to look like. We wanted the title 'unanswered' on the black background, taken from a shot at the beginning with the lighting reflecting it so it looks similar to the actor in the shot.

  • We came up with multiple options on how we wanted the title to look like, an idea we got from the 'se7en' film poster, click here to see blog post on the titling for 'se7en' was replacing a letter with a question mark to emphasise the need for answers. We took feedback from Andrew and Sophie to choose which one would look best as the question mark in the middle on the title did change the look of the word therefore we chose UNANSWERED?

Putting our plan to action

  • Here we are trying to find the perfect positioning of our last shot that we want our title sequence to come in at. We decided to duplicate the light from our last scene to use as the underline for our final titling sequence

  •  Trying to find the perfect positioning that we wanted our title to come in within

  • Here we were using keyframes and fades in order to create our title sequence. We used a crossfade overlapping our actual sequence for the title to appear on screen

  • More editing before the title sequence was placed within the film

This is the font in which we went with for out title sequence is Alien League Gradient Bold

Here it is without any editing:
